Abstract
Retail buyers play an important role in determining to what merchandise consumers will have access. In this study, Japanese and US retail buyers' views about imported merchandise were compared. US retail buyers had more favourable views about imports (p<. 01). Demographic differences between the two groups of buyers are profiled.
