Abstract
This paper presents issues related to sustainable development. A special focus is placed on the issue of social inclusion and the role performed in this sphere by culture and institutions promoting it. The sub-ject of analysis is the Castle Museum in Pszczyna. The study covered the period of three consecutive years of 2016-2018. The diagnosis regarding the building of social capital through the implementation of the concept of social inclusion was conducted in relation to selected areas of the Museum’s activity, i.e. culture, education and science. The paper contains a critical review of literature on the subject, and the presented assessments and conclusions are based on hermeneutics and rely on analyses of statistical data contained in documents provided by the Castle Museum in Pszczyna.
