Abstract

The paper is conducted to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of applying Outcome-based education (OBE) framework in Higher Education and Vocational Education, thereafter recommend the resolutions to improve the OBE framework for Financing and Promoting Technology (FPT) Education. The paper selects the quantitative method emphasizing on processing the primary data of higher education and vocational education of FPT Education in 2018 at Hanoi campus via Balanced Scorecard (BSC) system. The significances of the BSC system are to approach systematically and create the original sources of data for FPT Education to reflex the performance in practice as well. From the remarkable findings, the author recognizes that OBE has had great impact on the student pass rates and employment rates in both higher education and vocational education programs. The author also found out that OBE positively effects on student performance and student employability after referring to the previous research. The author has simultaneously evaluated and compared the impact of OBE in the context of higher education and vocational education at FPT Education. Finally, the paper proposed recommendations for implementing OBE framework at FPT Education effectively in long term.
