Abstract

The creation of the architectural environment depends on the activities of the architect and certain stages of project development, one of which is the pre-project analysis, which is preparatory in nature and is important for further work.
The article considers the method of creating a «user profile» as one of the important stages of work on an architectural project in architectural education. Some recommendations and techniques for creating a «user profile» have been developed. A review of domestic and foreign research, raising the issue of pre-project analysis, based on the study of the needs of future users of architectural space has been conducted. Several stages of creating such a profile and a clear example of its application in the educational processare presented as well as the impact on the further development of the architectural project.
When working on an architectural project, the architect must subconsciously «reincarnate» in the future visitor, feel his mood, lifestyle, needs when using the designed space. Therefore, such a «reincarnation» is important when working on a «user profile».
