Abstract

In this paper, Implementation of multiple square slots in micro-strip rectangular patch antenna for wireless application has been done for the enhancement of Bandwidth, Efficiency, Directivity and Return loss. It is designed for bandwidth of 1.9697 to 2.5077 GHz having a return loss of −44.142dB at a resonant frequency of 2.16 GHz. The micro-strip patch is designed on glass epoxy (FR4-lossy) dielectric substrate with permittivity (e r ) of 4.3, thickness of 1.6mm and fed with a 50Ω rectangular Micro-strip feed line. Also antenna parameters like bandwidth, directivity etc., of the micro-strip patch antenna are measured for frequency range between 1GHz to 4GHz using the CST Microwave Studio Software. the effect of change in ground width with the antenna Bandwidth is also analysed.
