Abstract

This paper examines the role and impact of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme in state of Kerala. This scheme implemented in February 2, 2006 in 200 backward districts. In Kerala, the Scheme was implemented in three phases. Kerala was located on southern part of India. Any government scheme has certain aims, like the MGNREGS scheme also have certain aims.
