Abstract
We read with interest on the paper by Shokouhifar et al. regarding impact of COVID-19 towards blood transfusion and the proposed inventory management model [1]. The local blood bank faced similar challenges, and we devised a model for inventory management. This article described the implementation of the maximum surgical blood ordering schedule to minimize mismatch between demand and donation.
