Abstract

This research was conducted at Isen Mulang Palangka Raya senior high school using a sample of 8 students with the aim of knowing how to apply group guidance with peer group technique to increase students’ learning interest. To find out the increase in students’ learning interest, the questionnaire was made and distributed based on the indicators of students’ learning interest, namely attention, interest, fun feeling, and students’ involvement. The purpose of this research was to find out whether the Peer Group Technique could increase the learning interest of Class X students of Isen Mulang Palangka Raya senior high school. The research design used was a pre-test post-test one group design, using the Paired Sample t-Test data analysis technique (SPSS 25 program). Based on the results of giving treatment and calculating experimental results using the pre-test and post-test one group design in the application of group guidance with peer group techniques to increase students’ learning interest, the significant value/score is 0.001 less than 0.05, which meant Ho "nothing differences in the level of student interest in learning after group guidance using the peer group technique was rejected and Ha "there were differences in the level of students’ learning interest after group guidance using the Peer Group technique" was accepted.
