Abstract

We have proposed an intuitive Home Appliance Control (iHAC) framework which can intuitively control smart home appliances without being conscious of the difference of communication protocol, and the iHAC Hub that supports heterogeneous Internet of Things (IoT) device linkage based on environment information with this framework extended. This paper proposes a recipe engine that analyzes and controls recipes described in accordance with ECA rules in order to achieve cooperation of heterogeneous IoT devices. As a result of measuring the performance using the iHAC Hub that implements the recipe engine by extending the iHAC framework, we confirmed that cooperation between heterogeneous IoT devices can be achieved in a time that has no practical problems.
