Abstract
AbstractIn this work, active power losses in the distribution lines are minimized by using Distributed Generation technology with improved contribution in power quality as well as efficiency of the system. The location and capacity of multiple DGs are determined by using Black Widow Optimization technique. For power flow analysis, Load Impedance Matrix method is used to find power losses in the lines, current flow and bus voltages in system. These multiple algorithms are implemented with standard IEEE-19 bus unbalanced radial distribution system and the overall system performance is studied.KeywordsBlack Widow Optimization algorithmLoad Impedance MatrixLoss minimizationRadial distribution system
