Abstract
Ser’iyye sicilleri gecmisi gunumuze yansitan kiymetli yazili kaynaklardandir. Belli bolgelere ait olan bu kayitlarin incelenmesiyle sosyal, kulturel, ekonomik ve siyasi alanda cok onemli veri ve bilgilere ulasmak mumkundur. Bu calismada Anadolu cografyasinin en eski ve onemli sehirlerinden biri olan Antep’in Ser’iyye sicillerinden istifade edilerek on sekizinci yuzyilin ilk yarisina ait Avâriz vergisi ve bu verginin Antep’teki yansimalari incelenecektir. Ayrica Osmanli Devleti’ndeki avâriz uygulamasi ana cizgileriyle gozden gecirilerek, avâriz vergisinin XVIII. yuzyildaki uygulamasi uzerinde durulup, avâriz vergisinin hukuki esas ve dayanaklari ile Antep Sancagindaki toplanis bicimleri ele alinacaktir
