Abstract

Since the full-scale invasion of russia, the infrastructure of Ukraine has suffered significant destruction. The post-war country development is being discussed at various levels, projects, and initiatives. However, the process of rebuilding and restoring of the communities is impossible without orientation to modern approaches in urban planning and design. The issue of inclusivity should be one of the mandatory, because it has a direct impact on the quality of life of the population and the level of their social well-being and social inclusion. The article carries out a theoretical analysis of influence of inclusiveness implementation and architectural accessibility of building environment on the level of subjective well-being of a person. We determined the typical obstacles that arise in the process of implementation of architectural accessibility; presented the importance of changing approaches to the implementation of accessibility and inclusiveness in the building environment ‒ from focusing on the average statistical «impersonal» user to understanding the diversity of users and taking into account the needs of everyone. The authors present the structure of seminars to increase the level of professional competence of specialists responsible at the community level for its inclusive development and reconstruction. The seminars were held during September-December 2022 in Kyiv region. Based on the results of the analysis of the seminars course and the content analysis of the participants’ feedback questionnaires, the key challenges that may become an obstacle in the process of further reconstruction and development of the territories of Ukraine are identified.
