Abstract

The implementation of a total quality management system (TQMS) has become the pivot for an efficient, successful IVF clinic. The TQMS should control every facet of the clinic’s business from the obvious standpoint of the laboratories, through patient management to clinical diagnosis, treatment modalities to administration of the organisation. This chapter outlines some of the approaches that can be used to establish a TQMS, monitor its performance, to proactively troubleshoot and to monitor staff competency.
