Abstract

The article presents the clinical case of the patient with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) reflected through the biopsychosocial approach with the help of 2 classifications: the International Classification of Diseases (ICD10) and the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF), a fact that offers the formulation of a complete, comprehensive [4] diagnosis that would merge the necessary measures of medical assistance with those of social protection. Thus, it will be possible to integrate information about the patient’s state of health with that about the dynamics of the disease from a biological, social and personal perspective.
