Abstract

Acute ischemia is a critical condition that occurs when there is a sudden decrease in arterial blood flow to an extremity and threatens its viability. This clinical condition requires urgent intervention to prevent the development of irreversible ischemia and possible loss of a limb. Analysis of the clinical and demographic characteristics of patients with acute ischemia is crucial for the effective prevention, diagnosis and treatment of this medical emergency. An individualized treatment approach with a choice of management strategy in accordance with clinical data and comorbidities can improve treatment outcomes. This article reflects the clinical characteristics assessed in 266 patients with acute limb ischemia who underwent urgent revascularization.
