Abstract

Long-term cardiac rhythm monitoring using implantable cardiac monitors in patients with ischemic stroke has been described both in cardiac and neurological clinical practice guidelines. We present a case study describing the clinical decision-making process that led to the diagnosis of atrial fibrillation in a very-high risk patient and the initiation of a proper treatment.
