Abstract

Under the influence of the COVID-19 epidemic, China’s economic development is sluggish and even stagnant. In this case, the informal economy sector was significantly impacted in many ways, particularly the street-stall economy which serves as an important part of the informal economy sector. This paper analyzes the impacts of the COVID-19 epidemic on the street-stall economy and the supporting policies released by the government and relevant departments for informal workers based on an investigation of government documents. And some pieces of advice are proposed for the sustainable development of the street-stall economy and informal workers.
