Abstract
The study aimed to analyze the main studies that address the impacts of grape bioactive compounds, with an emphasis on resveratrol, on reducing blood pressure. This is a literature review, which was carried out based on the definition of the research question, inclusion and exclusion criteria, search strategies, and selection of studies. 40 articles were selected from 230 identified, after assessing their methodological quality. Data analysis focused on the mechanisms of action of resveratrol, the effectiveness of supplementation methods, and its clinical perspectives. The study highlighted the potential of resveratrol, a grape bioactive compound, in reducing blood pressure, acting as an adjuvant in the treatment of hypertension. It promotes vasodilation, reduces oxidative stress, and improves cardiovascular health. Its effectiveness, however, depends on dosage and bioavailability. Despite advances, more clinical studies are needed to standardize its use and investigate interactions with medications. Continued research can consolidate resveratrol in integrative health strategies.
