Abstract
Entrepreneurship is considered to be the fuel for any Economy to survive and grow. Entrepreneurs respond to the changes in the market, exploit the opportunities available to them and find innovations as solutions to the problems in the society. It is considered necessary for the Economic Growth of a country, generation of income, rural development, industrialisation, export promotion and employment generation. The Government of India is very eager to create a favourable environment for Entrepreneurship to flourish. Hence, for this purpose, the Government has introduced a wide range of policies in the last few years to support Start-ups and Entrepreneurship for the citizens like Startup India, Make in India, Digital India, National Skill Development Mission, Atal Innovation Mission etc. It is found out that most of the developed countries in the world have given more importance to the Entrepreneurship as an engine for Economic Growth. The basic objective of this study is to find out the impact shown by the various Startup policies on the desire or urge of the college students to take Entrepreneurship as a career option instead of looking for safe and secure jobs.
