Abstract

This article presents the sway of thermal radiation and chemical reaction on the MHD flow of a Ag/SWCNT–Water–based Maxwell hybrid nanoliquid over a vertical cone by considering the Cattaneo – Christov heat flux, convective boundary condition and suction parameter. The governing dimensionless equations are solved by using the finite-element method. The sway of dissimilar parameters on a hydrodynamic, thermal and solutal boundary layer is perceived and the results are laid out graphically. Additionally, the values of the skin friction coefficient, Nusselt number and Sherwood number are authorised for different values of pertinent parameters and the results are demonstrated in tabular form. The key observations of the present study are that the nanoparticle volume fraction increases the velocity of the hybrid nanofluid. The temperature of the hybrid nanofluid increases with augmenting Biot number values. The values of the skin friction coefficient and Sherwood number decline; nevertheless, the value of the Nusselt number escalates as the values of the Deborah number improve.
