Abstract

This article aims to investigate the repertoire of social skills and the possibility of impact on the quality of life of cancer patients hospitalized at the Regional Hospital in Santarém- Pará. The research was characterized as bibliographic and field, descriptive, with a quantitative approach to the data. For the field research, the technical instruments used were the Social Skills Inventory 2 (IHS-2) and the quality of life questionnaire. For the analysis of the data obtained in the Social Skills Inventory - 2, the instrument's web platform was used. For the quality of life questionnaire and the correlation of the social skills and quality of life variables, Excel was used. The results showed that most participants had a low repertoire of social skills. In quality of life, only five participants had high scores in the four domains. And the proposed statistical analysis showed that there was no significant correlation between the variables.
