Abstract

The integration of quality, environmental concerns, product warranties, and green practices into industrial processes has received a lot of attention in the field of manufacturing and inventory management for products that are becoming more and more problematic. The following presumptions are made in order to develop a sustainable production inventory model with warranty-based production of green products. In order to assist decision-makers in making more informed choices on pricing and replenishment, this article analyses the effects of greenness, product warranties, and technology designed to reduce carbon emissions on overall profit. Due to nonlinearity of the objective function as well as five decision variables, with the aid of the Teaching Learning-Based Optimizer Algorithm (TLBO), we have resolved this problem and compared the obtained results with other popular algorithms. Two numerical examples are taken into account in order to validate the proposed model. In order to justify the solving ability of the algorithms, a convergence test is performed on all the used algorithms. A sensitivity analysis is carried out to ascertain how different variables affect total profit and management insights.
