Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was conducted to examine the impact of optimism and resilience on subjective wellbeing of those individuals who were suffering from any medical illness during COVID-19 pandemic. For this purpose, survey via questionnaire was conducted on different age groups from 16 to 25 years and a total of 405 responses were received in which 60% were women and students were major portion of sample size. Results showed that there was a weak to moderate significant positive correlation between the three variables. Also, the resilience and optimism significantly predicted the subjective wellbeing. Results also showed that men had better sense of wellbeing as compared to women. This research helps in understanding the effects of pandemic on already ill patients and how these variables impacting their lives and helping them to cope with their illness and pandemic.
