Abstract

This study investigates the possible impacts of occupational noise exposure on the circulatory system of workers in a typical floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit in the Niger Delta Offshore work environment in Nigeria. The VLIKE iiVL6708 digital sound level meter was used to measure noise levels at 2-hour interval overianii8-houriiworkday. OMRON-10iiSeries iiBP7450 Upper Arm Blood Pressure monitor was used to measure arterial blood pressure i(systolic and diastolic) and pulse rate of work before and after exposure for 8-hour workday.
