Abstract

Mental Health of a patient is one of the most prior concerns for all over well-being of an individual. Mental health is a level of psychological well-being or absence of a mental disorders. It is a psychological state of someone who is functioning at a satisfactory level of emotional and behavioral adjustment. The effect of good nutrition, routine exercise and medication were examined on mental well-being of patients in comparison to patients who were only using medication. The sample comprised of 20 patients suffering from hypertension. The sample was further divided into two groups. For about (10) patients practiced exercise twice a day for about 25–30 minutes with healthy nutritious diet and medication, whereas the other (10) patients depend only on medication. Mental well-being scale was used for recording the mental assessment of the subject. Self-devised questionnaire was the main tool for collecting the primary data. The research analysis was carried out by percentage evaluation method and t-test was used to see the significant difference between the two groups. The result shows that routine exercise and proper nutrition leads to significant improvement in the mental state of patients as compared to the patients using only medicine. The result showed that routine exercise with good nutrition has a very significant effect on mental health of the patients with loss of anxiety aggression and depression with increased vitality and life balance.
