Abstract

Background and Aims: Lipoprotein [Lp(a)] and diabetes are well established risk factors for coronary artery disease (CAD). However there is a conflicting data about the levels of Lp(a) and it’s relationship with CAD in diabetic patients. Furthermore, data about the impact of the gender difference in this relationship is insufficient. We aimed to investigate the relationship between Lp(a) and CAD in male, female, diabetic and non-diabetic patients.
