Abstract

The paper is devoted to topical issues of the influence of external (internal) threats on the economic security of the economic entity and the possible onset of bankruptcy of the enterprise. This topic is very relevant, since starting from 2020, Ukrainian enterprises are under the constant influence of various factors and threats, which can lead to unpredictable consequences of the enterprise's work. Therefore, throughout the entire economic activity, the owners of the enterprise (management) must constantly carry out a set of works to predict crisis situations, apply measures to calculate the assessment of the level of economic security and provide proposals for conducting a remedial audit to prevent the bankruptcy of the enterprise. It can be concluded from the conducted research that, unfortunately, the impact of external factors is very difficult to predict. And as the events of recent years show, they have a destructive nature for some enterprises. In order to prevent the negative impact of these factors, the state is conducting a number of comprehensive measures aimed at supporting business in these conditions. One of the factors that also has a negative external impact that cannot be influenced by the enterprise is population migration. More than 6,2 million citizens of Ukraine have left for the countries of Western Europe since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. And, unfortunately, as a sociological survey shows, most of them do not intend to return to Ukraine even after the end of the war. Therefore, Ukrainian enterprises may be at risk of losing a high-quality, trained and professional workforce. Regarding the internal threats of the business entity, it can be noted that these threats can and should be foreseen in advance in order to maintain a sufficient level of economic security and prevent the bankruptcy of the enterprise.
