Abstract

Background and Aims: Dyslipidemia has been widely acknowledged as one of the major risk factors for the development and progression of coronary artery disease (CAD). While serum lipid levels confirmed to vary with age and gender, it has not yet been established, whether they equally effect the prognosis in men and women. Aims: We aimed to investigate possible gender differences in the impact of dyslipidemia on the long-term prognosis of patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS).
