Abstract
Cultural intelligence (CQ) has been becoming an essential intelligence for people in order to adapt to the new context of globalization. Besides, cross cultural and cross nation of the global trend require team work model to be applied and developed largely than ever before. However, few studies have considered the cultural intelligence role to the team work efficiency in the era of intercultural world. This study examined not only how cultural intelligence had influence on the team performance but also the role of knowledge sharing in that relationship. It also tested the moderating effect of team supervisor support to the effect of cultural intelligence to team knowledge sharing. This study gathered data from 200 team members of 37 working team with multi-cultural background and found the positive effect of cultural intelligence to knowledge sharing and team performance. It also demonstrated the mediating role of knowledge sharing in the relationship of cultural intelligence and team performance. However, no moderating effect of supervisor support was found.
