Abstract
Since Indonesia's government announced social distancing status, impact from the coronavirus suddenly, all social interactions and physical activities must change. Starting from social distancing to independent quarantine, until appear tagline stays at home. All activities have changed from daily routines to art exhibitions. Art exhibitions are a series of activities, the endpoint of the art process. Art-making is an activity that can still carry out when social restrictions imposed since it is an individual activity at the studio, usually at home studio. Art exhibitions are activities that involve much social interaction. The limitation of social activities outside the house makes activity and social interaction change mostly conducted via the internet. It makes the emergence of online-based activities, one of which is art exhibitions. The terms that emerge to refer to online-based art exhibitions also vary. Online-based exhibitions do not just move from offline to online. The art appreciation in exhibition activities in art spaces or galleries also changes, as does the changing exhibition media. The change from offline to online involves media with digital communication technologies such as social media and sites have their terms and media logic. Art exhibitions are not new activities in the art world. The art exhibition had been held since before the internet appeared. Still, visiting exhibitions and appreciating the artworks had not changed much or adapted to the emerging digital communication media.
