Abstract

It has been generally known that similar anaphylactic systemic shock is caused by injection of anti-sheep erythrocyte antibody into guinea pigs. This shock is so-called Forssman shock (FS) because the reaction resulted from the combination of anti-sheep erythrocyte antibody including Forssman antibody and Forssman antigen which exists at the endothelium of capillaries in guinea pigs. The present study was conducted to search for a human disease that is similar to this reaction and the mechanisms of the shock. First of all, the changes of blood components were examined during the shock. Blood cell count, enzyme activity and other components were tested. The results are summarized in Table 1.
