Abstract

Using a TTL oscillation circuit, the effect of the immersion angle of the single‐face sealed quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) was investigated in a Newtonian liquid. This experiment revealed that the frequency shift of the single‐face sealed QCM was dependent upon the immersion angle, and was largest at 90° immersion angle and smallest at 0° immersion angle. We also found that the measurement values of the immersion‐angle dependence due to the TTL oscillation circuit were in good quantitative agreement with those due to the impedance analyzer.
