Abstract
Hypnotic anesthesia induced in a subject's entire arem produced a decrement in proprioceptive abilities as assessed by the inability to locate the nose position with the forefinger of the anesthetized arm. The magnitude of the decrement was positively related to level of hypnotic susceptibility.
