Abstract
Antibiotic therapy is a second line treatment for severe or moderate acne that has resisted local treatments. The French Society of Dermatology recommends tetracyclines.1 Doxycycline is the most frequently prescribed.2 Hypersensitivity reactions to this antibiotic are rare. Only a few case reports have been published.3-5 In this study, we describe 2 well-documented immediate hypersensitivities (IHS) to doxycycline. We propose higher and nonirritating concentrations for skin prick tests (SPT) with tetracyclines.
