Abstract
"Arhivele Olteniei" Review represented and represents a specialized publishing platform, which brings together related disciplines, exciting themes, raising the bar from regional to national and even international, through the information and methodology performed. The authors who contributed to the pages of this review knew how to capitalize studies of remarcable socio-cultural phenomena, "archiving" among others elements of the cultural memory of Craiova. This city, although it experienced disruptions over time, continued to live on in the collective memory through different forms: old street names, the names of houses belonging to the great aristocratic families, urban spaces that preserve the old memories - names of old shops, spaces that remind of the presence of certain personalities of the city, old inns, old neighborhoods, such as the Jewish quarter or the Clisurean Quarter, slums, such as Mahalaua Sârbilor, churches specific to certain old neighborhoods - Obedeanu, Sf. Gheorghe cel Nou, Mântuleasa and many others.
