Abstract

As a Regional Economic Community, The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) is one of the building blocs for the integration of Africa. This paper investigates the progress of IGAD towards attaining this goal by going through the various activities it has been undertaking from peace and security to infrastructure development and trade. It finally proposes ways of building upon the gains of IGAD.
