Abstract

Abstract : This workshop was held May 15-17, 1991 in Atlanta, Georgia. It was the eighth in a continuing series of workshops on real-time operating systems and software and was held in conjunction with the 17th IFAC/IFIP Workshop on Realtime Programming. The workshop was co-sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society Technical Committee on Real-Time Systems and the Office of Naval Research and had as its goals: to investigate advances in real-time operating systems, software, and programming languages; to promote interaction among researchers and practitioners; to evaluate the maturity and evolutionary directions of realtime programming theories and approaches. This report contains the Proceedings of the Workshop as well as the Final Report to IEEE, the IFAC/IFIP Final Report, and additional budgetary information provided to the Office of Naval Research.
