Abstract

The article substantiates the role of ideology in the development of society, it is shown that the ideology (national idea) usually consolidates the society and enhances concentration of social interests and values of every citizen and social groups (classes) in general. The lack of a national ideology in Russia today is one of the reasons of some socio-political disunity of society. The formation of a definite ideology needs a number of important preconditions such as: ideological space, ideological time, and ideological inertia. The author of the article examines the real process of the formation of national ideology in the Russian Federation, analyzes the most common problems of its formation and presents brief analysis of the widespread ideologies in our country: ideology of patriotism, ideology of social justice, ideology of liberalism, ideology of conservatism, and reflects the national goals in creating the powerful Russian State.
