Ideological Function of the Modern State: Problems of Understanding and Prospects of Development

Abstract

The ideological function of the state is a significant direction of state activity at the present stage of its development in the context of revising the value guidelines of the existence of the state and the formation of a new paradigm of interstate interaction. In line with this study, the vision of the ideological function of the state in the aspect of its modern understanding, the search for certainty in the variable trends of the conceptual series is considered. Based on the consideration of problematic aspects of this topic, the concept of the ideological function of the state is proposed as the main complex direction of the state›s activity, contributing to the development of a full-fledged ideological sphere of society in line with the formation of an ideology of national importance, the revival of traditional values of society and countering destructive ideological influences. In addition to reflecting conceptual certainty, the work formulates the most important prospects for the development of the ideological function of the state. Currently, relatively independent areas of activity are being identified and will continue to develop in the future within the framework of the implementation of the analyzed function of the state – its subfunctions. The formation of the ideology of digitalization of social relations should be considered as a separate element of the content of the ideological function of the state in modern conditions. Mutual connection and mutual conditions of the ideological sphere of social relations and other spheres of modern society will also actively develop. In the process of exercising the ideological function of the state, methods of persuasion and positive coercion will receive predominant development. The detailing of modern ideology is significant. An important factor is the development of ideologies as elements of ideology and as phenomena of the language of law.
