Introduction

In Vietnam, competition among construction companies, in general, and construction contractors, in particular, is occurring in a very fierce and serious manner (Ling et al, 2009; Nguyen et al, 2018a). Especially construction contractors, to be able to make the most out of future opportunities, it is necessary for them to formulate comprehensive development strategies to adapt to industrial changes and establish a strategy to improve their competitive capacity (Powmya et al, 2017). In this way, companies may be able to develop and seek projects, develop quality and sustainable buildings, and provide a high return on investment. This paper identifies the key competitiveness indicators (KCI) for assessing the competing capacities of the construction contractors
