Abstract
Architecture has always been crucial to the development of human civilization. Culture produces architecture, which stands as a testament to human civilization. The buildings of ancient China are works of art in their own right. This presentation offers an academic and professional perspective on recent works crafted from wood and planned using parametric software. The Digital Fabrication Laboratories' research and development on digital wood has shown promise, but it has constraints that prevent it from being widely employed in actual building projects.
