Abstract
The ecophysiological crop model, ORYZAl was used to identify important physiological traits and their possible effect on rice production in future changing climates. Altered crop phenology, early vigour, increased source size and its activity were found to be the efficient physiological traits for increasing yield plateau in the alleviation of temperature induced detrimental effects of climate change. Possible ideotypes for different climate change scenarios were also suggested.
