Abstract
A system of ring surface waves in the Pacific Ocean is identified, which was registered near Darwin's Island in one of the photos taken according to the program of space experiment Uragan. Within the scope the hypothesis that the waves were generated as a result of a harmonic action on the ocean bed, a mathematical model, describing the excitation and propagation of waves in the approximation of the theory of long waves, was employed in image processing. As a result of calculations, the simulated wave system was approached to the one registered in the photo, which made it possible to estimate the physical parameters of the source of waves.
