Abstract
A procedure which yields a complete model of the eye-hand transfer characteristics of man acting as a controller in a single closed-loop control task is discussed. It is shown how the parameters of a linear time discrete transfer function for the deterministic part of the model are estimated and how the stochastic part in form of an observation noise can be evaluated using these parameters. A thorough verification of the model by examination of the signals in the closed-loop system demonstrates that the model is well suited for the description of human operator characterics in such control tasks.
