This follows the agreed policy that, subject to the conditions stated in the most recent Nomenclature report ( 5), names will be assigned to new sequences as they are identified. List of such new names will be published in the following WHO Nomenclature Report. ‡ We report here a new HLA-B*4061 allele identified by sequencing-based typing in the Chinese population. The new B*4061 differs from B*400101 by a single nucleotide at position 272 C→A in exon 2. This results in an amino acid change from Ser to Tyr at codon 67.
