Abstract

Micro electric impedance spectroscopy (µEIS), are tiny devices that use fluid as a working buffer in conjunction with biological cells under test to extract different electrical parameters. Many advantages can be provided by using these tiny microfluidic devices, such as portability, disposable, and high accuracy. Dielectric parameters of biological cells are one of the interesting parameters that can be extracted using µEIS. This computational study represents the comparison between different microelectrodes patterns with different excitation topologies to show the sensitivity of the system to extract the difference between the close cells in dielectric parameters and dimensions.
