Abstract

The purpose of the present research is identification and classification of factors affecting ICT knowledge workers’ turnover in Iran’s mobile communications industry. After reviewing research literature, seeking experts’ opinions and doing statistical analyses, 11 variables were identified as the main turnover precedents; then using exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, the aforementioned factors were classified in three categories. Results of the research suggest that the personal, job-related and internal/extra-organizational aspects, respectively, explain ICT specialists’ and knowledge workers’ turnover in Iran’s mobile communications industry.
