Abstract
One of the four new excited superdeformed bands found in 151Dy is characterized by transition energies that lie midway between the γ-ray energies of the yrast superdeformed band in 152Dy. This result adds significant new information on the issue of “identical” bands, as it confirms predictions based on the strong coupling model and the pseudospin coupling scheme.
