Abstract
Anastomotic suture incompetence (ISA) is the most dangerous and life-threatening complication in abdominal surgery. According to various authors, the failure frequency of the esophageal-gastrointestinal anastomoses remains at a fairly high level, reaching 0.5-20%, and the mortality rate in this group of patients is 20-64%. Despite the development of new surgical techniques, these figures do not show significant decrease dynamics.
