Abstract
Endoscopic ultrasound-guided gastroenterostomy (EUS-GE) is associated with lower rates of stent dysfunction than enteral stenting in patients with malignant gastric outlet obstruction (MGOO). It is, however, technically challenging limiting its widespread application. We recently developed a double balloon device (DBD), using widely available existing technology, to facilitate EUS-GE. Our aim is to assess the feasibility and safety of this modified approach to EUS-guided double-balloon-occluded gastroenterostomy bypass (M-EPASS).
